The new constitution is part of a power-share deal the country has made, and western human-rights advocates are strongly making their feelings known in the African Country. But President Mugabe isn’t bending, “Gays are lower than pigs” and says all calls for lgbt rights are “insanity.”
Interesting how most of Africa is strongly anti-LGBT rights, with the exception of South Africa, which was once known as one of the strongest prejudicial and bigoted countries in the world. Currently however, South Africa is the only country in Africa which has adopted full same-sex rights and marriage.

South Africa has one of the world’s most progressive constitutions, but it’s no LGBT paradise. There’s tremendous violence and bigotry directed against sexual minorities there, even in Capetown.

Very true! But as we all know, ones the laws are passsed things start getting better- if slowly. That’s my hope for us here in the USA, pass the laws then things will start getting better culturaly as well.

Pigs are very intelligent and emotionally sensitive and social animals. Being compared to them has got to count as a compliment. 😉
Mugabe, as always, crushes my soul, but the LGBT groups who are willing to operate in such unaccommodating terrain uplift it.
Maybe next here in America, where the battle for LGBT rights is certainly not won but has definitely had its share of triumphs, we can start treating pigs as the intelligent and feeling creatures they are.
